Setting up a R&D wine cellar

ABV meter, alkometer, brix/gravity meter. And most importantly a scale!

I’ve never made wine, beer, or anything like it before, so building my little R&D wine cellar meant starting from scratch.

I had to buy everything: tools, instruments, containers, sterilizers… even all the different types of yeast, because how on earth do you know which one will work?

Brix meter, ABV meter, alkometer—yes, I googled them all and then ordered them. And I’m still learning.

At every step, I end up thinking the same thing: you really do need to appreciate each and every bottle of wine ever made.
